Dedicated to My Children with all my love

My Treasures

Today I had great news that I was now a Great Grandmother, my first and only. I then remembered some old poems that I had written many years ago when lonely.

I took them out and shed some tears, How did all this happen through the years?

Now as I read these poems so old, what happy stories they have told.

THESE I HAVE KEPT AS MY SOUVENIRS !!

MY FIRST BABY- A SON

" MY SON STOOD FIRM "

To put his life in Verse
Would be a task I could not achieve,
If a story could be put in Poetry,
In awe you would believe.

He was my first baby to be born,
and so it was on that beautiful morn.

What God had told me all along
He would arrive like a Heavenly song!

Years passed, his life was pure.
at age 11, I knew for sure.

His life he gave to God alone,
some "so-called" friends then were gone

. He said "Mom, I know it's life
but I will not turn away,
some day they will know
and some will not stray!

Through hardships and strife
He studied for years,
Spent time alone with his loving wife
to dry his tears.

God answered his prayers
and took his burdens away~~
Now with a beautiful family
He is a Doctor today!!

My Faith in him has never decreased,
and Faith in God he has never released!!

~~~For: My son and his family--
  May God continue to Bless you in your Ministry for Him!!
A CHILD'S PRAYER IS ANSWERED !!
" SISSY"
{My first daughter}
She was a tough little girl
Yes, and really Rowdy--
never liked frills or lace,
she had rather hear a Howdy!
Always into this, that and other,
perhaps because she had an older brother!
Hidden inside no one could see
a little Angel she could be.
Even as a baby, God had made His place
with her "goodnight" prayers
and saying "grace"!!
I do believe when she was about 10--
her nightly prayers for "one" thing begin.
She said a "special" prayer
for two years or so
and always "managed" for me to know!
It happened one evening
when I returned from our little town--
I called her aside -- no one around.
Relating the news so full of pride
the sweetest smile--I could have cried!!
She danced with joy
and sang with delight
then calmly in a whisper she said--
"I have been praying with all my might" !!
Her baby "sister" all cuddled in her arms
I heard her saying--"A-MEN--A-MEN"
as we drove from the hospital to home again!!
Then in her "Bossy" way,
I listened to what she had to say.
"Now Mom, you clean, cook
and do laundry each day.
I will take care of my little sister
and I will teach her to PRAY !!
~~MY TWILIGHT BABY~~~
" DAWN "
As I opened my eyes I could see
the sunrise on a bouquet
of roses just for me!
Quietly I heard the story told~~
as I watched the rose buds unfold !
In silence I wondered
why all were concerned,
until a soft voice told me,
from death I had returned.
They said for a while I was gone
and had left my baby all alone.
But God did not want it to be,
He wanted my baby raised by me!!
She was like a China doll,
too fragile to touch
Oh! I loved her so very much.
Most mothers will say the same as I~
if she had wings
I know she could fly.
As time drifted into the hurried years,
her beauty would blind your eyes with tears.
That long naturally curly golden hair,
with big green eyes and skin so fair.
The precious memories of her childhood
will always remain within my heart.
No one on earth could keep us apart !!
Now an humble and proud
mother she has become,
loving her children as I had done.
She knows God told me to return and stay
for a while longer,
because she needed the strength
to make her stronger.
Together we thank Him
for that beautiful day at twilight~~~
Until an Angel returns
for me to my Eternal Flight!!
